About Active Gel (formerly known as Actigel)

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel is a safe, gentle and effective gel to soothe, relieve and prevent intimate discomforts.

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel's formula is based on natural plant extracts. One of the key ingredients is the patented 2QR complex that blocks the adhesion of harmful bacteria and neutralises these bacteria effectively.

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel's pH of 4.1 is adjusted to the natural vaginal pH (3.8-4.5)

The unique formula supports the natural repair system of the tissues, optimizes the condition of the mucosa and restores the pH balance.

The good bacteria (lactobacilli or lactic acid bacteria) are stimulated in their development and the gel creates an optimal and natural flora that prevents discomforts.

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel is safe and harmless (even when swallowed) and does not contain any chemical substances such as preservatives. It can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel has no side effects even when used in combination with medications.

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel has not been tested on animals.

How to use

BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel can be used both internally and externally. There is no restriction in usage or dosage and no interference with medications.

In case of vaginal discomforts, apply generously at least once a day or whenever relief is needed.

In prevention of Thrush, odour and related complaints, apply once every three days or more if necessary.

Unprotected intercourse affects the vaginal pH acidity. Apply Instant Active Gel within 8 hours after intercourse to restore the optimal vaginal pH and prevent growth of unwanted bacteria and odour.

For the treatment of Bacterial Vaginosis, apply generously at least twice a day for a minimum of five consecutive days.

Note:

1. It is normal to experience a slight tingling sensation after application. The feeling will disappear within a few minutes.
2. If you wish to become pregnant, do not use BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel in the hours following intercourse as it may reduce the activity of sperm.
3. In all cases, when your complaints have not disappeared within 2 weeks with your own measures of extra vaginal hygiene and the application of BIO-FEM Instant Active Gel, you must consult your GPs, Gynecologist or nurse for a thorough examination and a vaginal smear.
